About Vegetable Wax

Making vegetable wax is ideal for people who prefer organic substances because the wax is biodegradable, nontoxic and extracted from vegtables. Soy wax, which is a soft vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans, is well-known.

Vegetable wax  is a type of wax that is made by hydrogenating vegetable oil such as soya bean oil and rapeseed oil.

Other examples of vegetable waxes include carnauba, candelilla and palm. Many plants, shrubs and trees yield waxes that can be extracted and used to make cosmetics, lotions, soaps, balms and candles.By changing the oils melt point, it allows the wax to melt at the ideal temperature to be used for candle making. All vegetable waxes burn clean with reduced smoke and soot buildup and no pollutants.

Performance – vegetable waxes outperform mineral waxes in many attributes such as improved fragrance loading and a cleaner, longer burn.

Environment – our waxes are based on renewable vegetable sources. They are non-toxic, biodegradable and contains no animal derived substances.

Vegetable Wax

Soy wax is becoming increasingly popular because it is environmentally friendly. Soy wax is made from soybeans and vegetables. It is both a renewable resource and biodegradable. When using soy wax for candle making, it can be melted easily in the microwave.

This wax is very soft, so you will need to either use it for a container candle or add a significant amount of candle hardener. Vegetable waxes tend to be a popular choice among consumers who prefer purchasing organic and earth-friendly products. Vegetable waxes such as soybean wax produce a significantly less amount of soot when they are burned.Soybean wax candles will also burn at least 10 to 20 percent longer than a paraffin wax candle.
